Drawn Back to the Table
A nine-song Passion–Resurrection album framed by the Road to Emmaus and shaped through years of collaborative work.
A journey through memory, loss, recognition, and return.
Released in 2026, Drawn Back to the Table brought J.J. Wright together with the University of Notre Dame Folk Choir for nine songs retelling the Passion and Resurrection through the frame of the Road to Emmaus.
The work grew through a long collaborative process in which students brought Scripture into conversation with lived experience, then developed the music with the full Choir and a group of collaborating artists.
The sequence passes through remembrance, loss, doubt, recognition, shared food, and response. Recorded at EastWest Studios in Los Angeles and at the University of Notre Dame, the album was released by Notre Dame Records.
